I've been pretty good about not repeating exact outfits on this blog, but it seems my luck has run out as I've already posted a very similar look on my blog last fall. I wore this outfit on Tuesday which was one of my days off this week. The first half of my day was spent running errands and playing catch up. I had to wake up "early" (10AM) so I didn't have much time to think about how to wear this outfit differently than before. One thing I love about this top is that it instantly makes me feel put together. I always want to say it's a paisley tunic, but really it's a floral pattern. Admit it, you were fooled by the pattern as well!

Later on in the evening I went out for a movie night. I saw Midnight in Paris and Beginners. I give Midnight in Paris 4 out of 5 stars. It was very charming and I loved all of the writer and artist portrayals of the 20s. I used to be obsessed with the 20s when I was in high school. I fell in love with The Great Gatsby, the idea of huge elaborate parties and doing the charleston. I grew up in Grosse Pointe, Michigan where a lot of families got rich from selling alcohol during prohibition, so it was easy to imagine the wild parties that took place in all of the mansions. While my love for fashion and parties has shifted to the 60s over the past 10 years the 20s still remains my favorite era for art and literature.
Beginners was also a very charming movie. I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. It was sad to watch because the main character's father is diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the same time it was also comforting watching the main character and his love interest "beginning" their future together. There were a few parts that I thought were kind of cheesy, but overall I liked it a lot. I think the dog in the movie should win an oscar for best supporting actor. Seriously.

This week seems to have flown by at lightening speed. Like I said these photos are from Tuesday! I thought I'd be able to post them on Thursday, but I just got so busy! (Also Jon has been hogging the computer with unending re-writes...) Summer is flying by so fast, I can't believe it's already July. At the same time it's exciting because my calendar for July and August is already full of fun adventures!
