White Fluff and Pink Sweater

I've got to keep this short as I'm leaving for work in a minute...but I just wanted to share some outfit shots that I snapped really quick after running errands this afternoon. Great news - I found my glasses!!!! They were on my living room floor the whole time, haha. I'm just glad that no one had stepped on them.





I love this pink sweater so much! It is so soft and warm and perfect to wear with a full, fluffy skirt. I just want to dance around and spin in circles all day long. A little girl came up to me today and told me that I looked really pretty. It was so adorable. Hehe. She also insisted that I go ahead of her in line, she was so sweet.









Okay, well I've got to run. Tomorrow is the Blogger Meet-up in Grand Rapids, I'm so excited! I still haven't decided what to wear yet though!!!

Painting, Painting, Painting!

I've been working on my paintings all day. NES is making it very difficult because he keeps jumping on my back and trying to get the paintbrush while I'm working! What a little jerk!









Oh and it's freezing in my basement so that's why I'm wearing the faux fur hood, haha.

There won't be a Vintage Wednesday post tomorrow because I have to continue working on my paintings and then I'm working later in the evening. I'll have to make up for it next week!

I'm so excited for Friday to get here! I'm going to the Michigan blogger meet-up in Grand Rapids. It should be a lot of fun...I just hope the predicted snow storm doesn't ruin everything...

Art Show Update

I've finished all of the illustrations for my art show and every canvas has been sketched out. It was a productive day. I hope to get more done tomorrow. There are a few of the illustrations that I'm not 100% pleased with. If I have time once everything is done I'm going to go back and work on them, but for now it's time to move on. Currently it is 4:40 AM and time for bed. Sleep tight!

Polyvore Winter to Spring Transition

Has anyone seen the oscar nominated short films? I saw them yesterday and I thought they were great! My favorite for animation was The Gruffalo and my favorites for live action were The Confession and The Crush (it's a tie, I couldn't decide which one I liked more.) I love watching the short films because they are always so creative and inspiring.

All of our snow had melted last week in Metro Detroit and now it's back! I know it's still February and winter isn't over, but it was still disappointing after having such nice weather last week. Pretending that we haven't traveled back to full fledged winter I wanted to share some polyvore outfits today for making a smooth wardrobe transition from winter to spring.



#1) Layers are still important for keeping warm, but we can shed a bit of the bulk with a lighter jacket. The super cute patterns on the sleeves and bottom help brighten the mood as well.

#2) Boots are still a very important part of your wardrobe right now. From sloshing through sludge to kicking around mud they are a transitional necessity.

#3) Relax. Take it easy. There are only a few weeks left before we start our spring cleaning and start putting away all of our winter clothes. Break out last year's trench and have a casual party with close friends.
