Partridge Creek

Jon and I had to take our computer and his iphone to the idoctor today. We went to the apple store at Partridge Creak Mall. As far as malls go, this one is pretty interesting. All of the stores are outside (well, the walkways between the stores are outside). It's so much nicer than most malls in this area. It's like going to a mall in a really nice park. It was a beautiful day out, so it was nice to be outside for awhile. I really wanted to stop by the H&M, but we didn't have time. Ah well, next time.

As you can see above I worked so hard to get the sides of my hair to loop perfectly. I've been wanting to do this ever since first seeing Zooey Deschanel in Almost Famous. I've tried this before, but I've never gotten it quite right. Today I finally suceeded! It took a s*** load of hair putty and hair spray, but I got it to stay! Anyone know an easier way to do this that doesn't involve spraying your hair for 5 minutes straight? The curl is not the hard part, it's getting it to stick to my face that was difficult. I couldn't find any good pictures of her profile from that movie, but here's one where you can kind of see the loop:

Pink & Blue Stripes

Goodness I've been away for a while. It feels like I haven't posted in forever. I wish I could say I haven't posted because I've had a super amazing week and did a bunch of really super cool stuff. The truth however is I've just been busy with work-work and housework and other boring stuff.

I did manage to convince Jon to snap a few outfit photos before he went to work today though. I've got a little bit of pattern mixing going on with the striped shirt and plaid skirt. I broke the boots out today, but it actually turned out to be a bit too warm for them. The past couple of days have been cooler though and so my fall clothing has been intigrated more and more into my daily outfits. One thing I've noticed about most of my fall clothing is that it definitely has a more preppy feel than my other clothes. There's a lot of plaid skirts, button-up shirts, cardigans, and argyle. I feel like subconsciously I've been buying clothing for 'back to school' even though I graduated 4 years ago. (I've almost been out of college just as long as I was in, scary, huh?) I think the idea of fall and school have just become synonymous with each other in my mind. I'm going to be 87 years old and come September I'll still be dressing like a school girl! Ha!

What do you guys think? Do you dress more preppy than usual during the months of September-November?
