One Last Swim

Today Jon and I went for one final swim before the park closes on Monday. It was a bit cool out, but we had a nice time. We went with his sister, her baby, and my step-mom. We got to hang out in the baby pool and play with toys, which is always a blast.

I really can't say what made me buy this dress. It doesn't seem like something I would wear at all. I think it works fine for using as a cover-up at the pool though.

Okay, well it's a short post today as I've got to get to work. See ya later alligators!

Vintage Wednesday #9

This week for vintage wednesday I wanted to highlight the #1 thing I'm wanting for fall, which is a trapeze shaped 60's vintage/inspired cape coat. I do have one that I got last year, but it's cropped. I don't want one that is super long, but long enough that it comes just above the hemline of my skirts/dresses.

I think they are so amazingly chic and add an element of class to any outfit.

That's it for this week's addition of Vintage Wednesday. Short and sweet. Check back next week for more vintage fun!

Goodybye Summer

So today I wore the romper I mentioned that I bought quite a few posts back. It turns out that it was shipping from Malaysia, so it took awhile to get here.

I love it to death, but once I put it on I didn't think it was very flattering. It has a 'V" shape on the bottom half, which I feel accentuates my hips. However, I must be the only one who feels this way because I got quite a few compliments on it and Jon couldn't stop saying how good I looked all night long!

It's suppose to tie in the back, but I think it looks better tied in the front. I think it helps to distract from the attention-grabbing 'V' shape. Regardless of how it looks on me, I just can't get over how adorable the pattern is. It's so summer-friendly and cute, with balloons, ducks, and ponds. It makes me wish that summer was going to last just a bit longer. I know the weather will probably still be warm for a few more weeks, but the idea that it's now September makes me want to dress more fall appropriate. It was nice to have one last bright summer day though.

Jon and I went to a bowling party for my work tonight. We didn't bowl, but it was still fun. I thought the romper was perfect because it's just casual enough to not be considered over-dressed, yet it's more playful and cute than just shorts and a t-shirt. I wish we'd been able to get outside shots today. This outfit really does deserve to shine in the sun. Jon was up and out the door way before me this morning though, so we didn't get a chance to take pictures until it was already dark outside. Oh well.

Here's some iPhone fun:
