Computer Problems, Grrrr

My computer was being such a b**** today. It wouldn't let me upload any pictures until I deleted months worth of older pictures from my hard drive first! So, hopefully now that that is done, I will be able to keep posting. However, if you start to see tumbleweed when you load up my page, that's a sign that I can't upload more pictures until I get an external hard drive.











I wore this outfit today for a work meeting. It may seem a little dressy for stumbling into work way too early on a Saturday, but as it's only one piece, it was actually a really simple solution to getting dressed quite quickly. I just threw on the scarf and voila! Instant 60's chic.


I bought this dress for a date with Jon in the dead of winter. I layered heavy tights and a warm cardigan with it then. Now that it's summer I wasn't sure if it would transfer over well through the seasons, but it turned out to be successful at keeping me cool!

I love how the dress has a little crocheted design on it and that it's not just 100 % plain white.


Even though I've only been out of the house for a few hours this morning, I've already gotten plenty of compliments, so other people seem to like the dress too! Yay for white shift dresses!

Mid June Already?

Can you believe that it's already mid June? Why must summer go by so fast once you grow up??? Why can't it be endless like it was when I was 5? Actually I don't think summer has even officially started. Haha. Still, I just can't believe that in a blink of an eye it's already going to be July. I did not intend for that to rhyme. Honest, that's just the way that it came out.


This skirt was a gift/hand-me-down from a friend. I loved the print, but I was a little hesitant to accept it at first because it's a bit too big on me, so it's longer than it was intended to be. I'm glad I took it though because now I really like the longer length. It makes me feel more lady-like. I know I've mentioned this before, but I really love the feel of a skirt swaying against my legs as I walk. It's so pleasant.

Arts Internship Interview

Today I had an interview for a glassware/sculpture internship. It was very last minute, so I didn't have much time to plan an outfit. I found out about it at about 2 in the morning and needed to be there by 11 in the morning. (After having just worked a 13 hour day.)

Don't get me wrong, I was so thrilled for the interview, I just didn't have much time to raid my closet for the most appropriate outfit.

I went with a plain black dress and simple accessories. I think it was smart to err on the side of simplicity. If I had tried something too flashy with minimal time to think about it who knows what I would have walked out of the house looking like. (I have tried wearing garbage bags as skirts before...)





I think the interview went well, but the owner said he still had another week of interviews to conduct, so I'm not sure if it will fall in my favor or not. I sure hope so though. It would be so amazing to be working in a creative environment and getting paid for it to boot.

Eeeeek!!! I want this so bad!!
