Forensic Files, Ice Cream, and Kitties

The husband and I have become big Tru TV fans. Forensic Files is my favorite show on that channel. Well, it's Friday night and my husband is out with his friend but I opted for an early night with Tru TV, ice cream, and my kitties. (Although I did go out Meijering earlier. Ah, Meijer's. Michigan's finest form of entertainment.)

2nd day at the new job. Worked concession today. Went well, but I did mess up a few of the counts. I know it's expected because it's my first time learning how to do counts, but I still feel bad for being off. So, that was a downer, but other than that things went well. I learned how to make a cappuccino. Yes, after nearly 4 years at the same company and nearly 7 years in the movie theatre business I have learned how to make a damn cappuccino. Think what you will, I'm still proud of myself.

I actually wore the below outfit Wednesday for going out and running errands. It was simple, comfy, yet not boring jeans and t-shirt. Perfect for errand running. You can't really see in this picture, but I'm wearing my awesome Prince t-shirt. It's super soft and super cool.

The Breakdown:

Prince T-shirt (can't really see it, but trust me it's cool): Gift
Green Cardigan: H&M
Skirt: No Appt. Necessary, Thrifted
Leggings: Victoria's Secret
Socks: Betsy Johnson, Sale

I'm going to stop listing the prices on items for now. Just because it takes so much longer to do and since I rework a lot of my outfits it gets a bit redundant. I'm going to assume that if I list something as 'thrifted' or 'sale' or 'gift' you'll know it wasn't very expensive. However, if I've just bought something or if I know I got something for a great deal I'll still list the price.

Yes, yes. Okay. So...I was looking through some old documents in my iPhoto folder and I found a picture of this dress:

Isn't it just gorgeous? I love the pattern and the negative shape that it creates. Oh, beautiful dress how I wish I owned you! I can't remember who the designer is. If anyone knows, please tell me! Who knows, perhaps I'll win the lottery (even though I don't play the lottery...) and I'll be able to purchase this beauty.

Speaking of beauty, doesn't Penelope look like a beauty queen in this picture?

Have a great weekend.

Lost starts tonight!!

I am a huge Lost fan and I am very excited for the start of the final season. I am having an island themed dinner with my family and then we are all going to watch the premiere. I wore my groovy 70's shirt for the occasion. (For those not familiar with lost, some of the 'losties' were sent back in time to the 70's during the last season...hence the significance of my 70's shirt.)

So excited!!

The Breakdown:

Shirt: Ragstock, Chicago, Thrifted (Not sure of brand) ($8)
White Tank Top: Crossroads, Chicago (Brand label wore off) ($5)
Jeans: BDG, Urban Outfitters ($39)
Shoes: Apostrophe ($30)

Owl Necklace: Ebay
Bracelet: Forever 21

First Lazy Sunday in New House

Jon and I started putting up pictures at the new house today. (No pictures of the pictures that we put up yet though.) Dressed casual for the occasion. I started adding effects to my fashion pictures. Not sure if I'll keep doing it or not. Our living room is just so beautifully golden colored that I feel the effects look so nice. That and I'm in love with the "golden hour", so making things look more gold is a habit of mine. With films I always use the wrong filters on purpose so that they'll look more gold. I like that it dates the picture a bit more. I think it sticks as more of a memory in time that way. It seems nostalgic even though the memories are new.

Jon thought he was looking very stylish today, so I took a picture of him too:

Very handsome, eh?

Well, it's my last day of freedom before I start work again. I'm planning on having a very lazy evening in honor of it. So, I'm about to get to it!

The Breakdown:

Shirt: H&M, Thrifted ($3)
Cardigan: Express, Gift
Jeans: BDG, Urban Outfitters ($39)
Gold Socks: H&M, ($5)

Black & White Bracelet: Claire's, Gift
Silver Bracelet: Gift
Ball Necklace: H&M (approx. $10)
